It's been a long time since I've posted.  I'm getting ready to dust off the old posts, organize them into categories and types... stay tuned!

I'm excited about today's podcast.  It's a change in the Wednesday prayer experience...  I love Lectio Divina, but as a veteran of more than a few Ignatian retreats, I'm happy to share with you an important element of Ignatian spirituality:  the daily Examen.
In this version - developed by Fr. George Aschenbrenner, SJ - it focuses on being conscious of the movement of the Holy Spirit in our day...  an Examen done in prayer, heart-to-heart, with the goal of maturing our faith and discernment.

In the podcast I synthesize the steps and lead you in a quick prayer experience.  Next week I'll do less explaining and give more space for you to practice this beautiful prayer experience/exercise.

I'm really enjoying creating and posting my podcasts at www.SingMySoul.com - and I'm happy, too, that there are some people listening!  A few thoughts on the process and experience so far:

• Revisiting the mission and 3 Fingers Cove stories has been somewhat therapeutic for me...  These past 8 years have been tumultuous, actually, and it's been good to remember and revel in the blessings God has given me.
• As I write the podcast and place the music, I'm very aware of those who will be listening, both right away and - hopefully - in the future.  I feel a connection to you - it's hard to explain how - and I'm grateful for the time we spend together in this way.
• The discipline of the creative process (writing, creating/recording, regular posting) has been good for me...  I pray it will also have a "good fruit" in your life as well.
• I'm thinking that this blog page could be a place where I post the actual transcripts of the podcast... what do you think?  Leave a comment!

Well...  I just finished Week 1 of podcasting!  It's been more complicated than I thought it would be, but I'm so glad to be able to create and share this part of myself with everyone again.  It's been awhile since I've had the opportunity... and I certainly felt the call... but now I have this avenue.
